How it Works

Eligibility Verification

 A representative will contact you to confirm you are certified as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide (PCA). If you are not yet certified or your HHA certificate has expired, Rockaway Home Care offers PCA training classes.

Application

 After your certification has been verified you will receive a link where you will be asked to provide basic information like your name, contact details, location preferences and availability.

Medical Forms

As part of your onboarding process, you are eligible to complete your required medical exams free of charge. We highly recommend taking advantage of this service to ensure a smooth and convenient application process.

Criminal History Background Check

You will be asked to sign 3 forms granting Rockaway permission to conduct a background check. If you haven’t been fingerprinted previously, you will need to complete this step. If you have been fingerprinted, we will wait for clearance.

Orientation

Upon submission of all required documents, you will receive a link to complete orientation (1 hour and 30 min long).

Application completion

After fulfilling all the necessary steps, you will be asked to electronically sign your completed application

Final Review

 A final review will be conducted to ensure all submitted documents meet the necessary requirements, and nothing has been overlooked. This step helps minimize potential future issues

Introduction Call

Once your application process is complete, a representative will contact you to review the following: 

  • Clocking in and Clocking out procedures
  • How to request cases broadcasted
  • What to do and what to avoid after accepting a case 
  • How to access your employee benefits

Activation

Once you have been activated and began working, Rockaway Home Care will need to verify your submitted I-9 documents through a video call within three days of your start date. It is essential to have your original documents ready during the video call, as required by the Department of Labor
