The Alcona Michigan Home Help Program is a Medicaid-funded service that helps seniors and people with disabilities get care at home from someone they choose — including a family member or friend. It allows people to stay safely in their homes instead of going to a facility.

Yes! Most family members — including adult children, siblings, and even grandchildren — can be paid caregivers. The only exception is spouses, who are not eligible to be paid under the program.
Caregivers in the Home Help Program are paid $15.88 per hour. Some agencies (like ours!) offer same-day pay once a shift is completed and verified.
